The ZHEREBTSOV brand showed its spring-summer 2017 collection for the first time at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days in Kyiv. The designer kept all the sketches a secret and only at the show the audience could see the collection for the first time.

I confess honestly that it was one of the strongest collections for all 4 days. All the details were taken into account: music, models, defile, concept and idea of the whole collection. If many designers had obvious failures to one degree or another, then Leonid Zherebtsov’s everything was perfect. It seemed like there were at least 5 days of rehearsals. Although, in fact, the designer flew to Kyiv just 2 days before the show, and the casting of models was held the day before. The ZHEREBTSOV brand next season offers to wear dresses, suits, bodysuits, bombers. There were also male models in the show. The good news was that a photo of some models after the show was published by Italian Vogue. The ZHEREBTSOV brand showed its spring-summer 2017 collection for the first time at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days in Kyiv. Immediately after the show, I went backstage and asked the designer a few questions:

1. You presented your collection for the first time at MBFDK, did your expectations come true?

Of course, expectations were justified. We were well received by the public, a chic city, wonderful people … We were pleased with the organization, which was at the highest level. A very big surprise was the appearance of photos from the show in Italian Vogue. All together made a good imprint and an incentive for new achievements.

2. What inspired you to create the collection?

It was inspired by the street style, which is now at the peak of popularity. The theme of New York, European cities, where people are not afraid to express themselves, want to be different, to be fashionable, to be photographed by photographers, bloggers for their street style collections.

3. Know that you can redo everything at the last moment. How long did it take to create?

For half a year we knew that we were flying to Ukraine for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days, so already in February we started working on a new collection. Before the trip, we remade 2-3 bows and did not include one at all in the show. It has already become a tradition for me and my team (smiles).

4. Your show was perfect, every detail was taken into account and the audience noticed it. Is it easier to fly away with a sense of success?

Opinions are always different, as are reviews. But people liked it and it’s cool!
