Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition available online
The French fashion house Dior has opened online access to the exhibition ” Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams”.
The first masterpieces of the exhibition could be enjoyed by visiting the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. The exhibition is now in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
The first Christian Dior boutique in London was opened in 1952, the couturier himself was very fond of this city and style.
The basis of the project is the story of the couturier Dior himself, as a person and a designer. But since the exhibition is now in the UK, a lot of emphasis is placed on Dior’s connection with this country.
One of the highlights of the exhibition is the dress Princess Margaret wore on her 21st birthday in 1951.
Also at the exhibition you can see exhibits that were shown at Dior shows at Blenheim Palace in 1954.
