Virginie Viard is the new creative director of Chanel
The successor of the legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld, who headed the Chanel fashion house since 1983, was named Virginie Viard.
She has worked with Lagerfeld for the last 30 years and has been his right hand.
Viard joined Chanel in 1987 as an intern.
In 1997, she took up the position of haute couture coordinator, and in 2000 she began working on a ready-to-wear line.
In early March, at Paris Fashion Week, Chanel will show the latest collection created by Karl Lagerfeld.
